June (extended family no 1.3.2)
2026
Various yarns woven and stretched over canvas
3 in x 3 in
June is a one-of-a-kind artwork handwoven on a four-harness floor loom.
June is siblings with May.
The Extended Family collection is an on going series of works exploring how textures, colors, and patterns interact. Every piece is one of a kind, but deeply related to all the others. I create the artworks in batches, and consider each batch to be an individual family unit, with certain pieces acting as siblings to one another. Each piece has a three digit identifying code, read as (shape.batch.iteration).
